An emerging trend in larger churches is to create separate facilities and a separate identity for youth worship.
The purchase of an adjacent warehouse enabled Vineyard Community Church to provide just that for Junior and Senior high school students. The kids can “check-in” electronically or in person, have their own Internet cafe, a 10,000sf skate park, basketball, and distinct worship facilities for both Junior and Senior high students.
The Student Union was designed and constructed by the church builders of HiFive Church Group for the youth of Vineyard Community Church, who have taken ownership and made it “theirs”. It’s a fun and safe place to be.
“Mark (and HiFive) immediately got it. (They) began to think of what community space would look like, and our Student Ministry numbers doubled.”
