Sam is a licensed architect, graduating with a BArch from the College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning at the University of Cincinnati in 2000. He earned a license to practice architecture in the State of Ohio in October 2005.
Sam joined HiFive in August 2007 after spending seven years with another local architectural firm which specialized in the design and construction management of churches, small office buildings, parks, and other religious facilities. He is the son of a pastor, and has a heart for designing and building churches, as well as a love for architecture in general. Sam brings to his work creativity and attention to detail as well as a willingness to work hard and persevere through challenging design problems.
Sam’s hobbies outside of the office include weightlifting and running, basketball, softball and playing the guitar. He is an active member at Lebanon Presbyterian Church, and also enjoys going on short term mission trips to Mexico. He has been on mission trips to a tiny Yucatan village named Xocenpich four times, and intends to continue visits there and other places in the future. He lives with his wife Amy and son Jordan in Lebanon.
